Every year brings a set of new opportunities and challenges. From wrapping up projects to welcoming new faces to moving office spaces to attending conferences, this year has been filled with activity. Take a look at all the exciting happenings at studio 121 in 2024!
2024 Starts Strong with Cottage Models and Tysons Phase I Opening
We began the year by completing a swift design for model cottage apartments in Ohio before gearing up for The Mather’s grand opening to independent living residents at beautiful Tysons Corner, VA.
Conference Travel and New Team Members!
In spring, part of the team was able to attend the EFA Conference + Expo in Atlanta, GA, and networked with fellow senior living design professionals.
We also welcomed new team members CJ, Kim and Lindsey!
Project Completions Amidst Office Move
Our summer and fall were very busy with two projects completed in Florida, one multi-family new construction in Cape Coral and one senior living renovation outside Jacksonville.
Modern details mixed with Florida palms create a warm and comforting place for current and prospective residents to call home.
The Coleman Center serves as the campus’ social, dining, administrative and IT hub. The interior design infuses the community’s nautical theme with biophilic elements to achieve the desired coastal elegance, and the simple, modern detailing provides a clean backdrop for featured finish materials, art and ceiling designs.
While these projects were in full motion, we also moved our office from Nashville and settled into Brentwood. Giving up our fantastic view of the city skyline was bittersweet, but we love our new extra parking and gorgeous oak tree setting.
LeadingAge Back in Nashville, Greystone Reinstates Conference, and Tysons Award Season
studio 121 rounded out the year with great senior living events and award recognition for The Mather Tysons.
In early October, Kim and Haley attended Greystone’s returned annual Development Conference in Dallas, TX, where they collaborated and explored how design and development professionals can strategically work to overcome evolving challenges in the senior living industry. Read more about the Development Conference on Greystone’s insights.
The LeadingAge Annual Meeting made its way back to Nashville after a decade, and we were honored to greet our clients and partners with a rooftop breakfast at City Tap House in the SoBro neighborhood.
To date, The Mather Tysons has received a number of accolades, all celebrating the intentional design and luxury amenities for its active, older adult community. With the Life Center set to open next year, The Mather Tysons will surely be a topic of innovation in senior living for years to come.
